WHY HAVE A TRAINER?

     There are many reasons to choose to work with a personal trainer: weight loss, muscle gain, general physical and mental fitness to name just a few. WRAC Personal Trainers are skilled at utilizing the latest exercise research and applying it to your personalized training plan.
     Everyone has different goals. It may include: Cardiovascular Training Resistance Training Functional Training Rest, Recovery, and Flexibility Stability, Balance, and Total-Body Integration Stress Management Education, Guidance, and Accountability Your WRAC Personal Trainer will help you discover the benefits of being functionally strong by using an integrated approach. We make sure to customize our system to your personal physical condition and limitations.

Jr lifter fitness center rules

junior lifter training

  • Junior Lifters must wear their Badge at all times when using the weight room and cardio equipment.
  • You may use only the equipment that you are trained on.
  • Follow all posted rules.
  • Wear clean, closed-toed shoes.
  • Shirts must be worn at all times.
  • Return all equipment to the proper place.
  • Do not drop weights.
  • Clean equipment after each use with spray bottle & towel.
The WRAC's Jr. Lifter Badge certification training is required for 11-14 year old members to use the Fitness Center and Weight Room.

​This session includes proper use and care of equipment, weight room etiquette as well as correct form and safe exercise habits.
Badge training fee:    $22

eceived his Bachelor of Science in Sports Science from the University of Idaho and is also a​ Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with National Strength and Conditioning Association.  

​Prior to being at the WRAC, as co-owner of a club in Seattle he trained all levels of clientele, as well as developed sports-specific programs for athletes...while running a 6,000 sq. ft. facility! He was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Seattle University's swim team and as Fitness Director for another Seattle club.

LISA SMITH
Joined the WRAC team in 2015. She is the Wellness Department Director, Trainer and Instructor. 
Lisa, her husband Greg, daughter Madelyn, moved from Sacramento for Greg’s job at the PUD and soon they added son Nate to the family.  She graduated from Oregon State with a bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science. 
​​Lisa spent the majority of her time in CA working as an Exercise Physiologist and Fitness Assistant Manager at an active adult community.  Lisa is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Advanced Health and Fitness specialist as well as an AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor and Balanced Habits Food Coach.  Her specialties include: Post-rehab, Balance and Strength programming, Older Adult Mobility and Conditioning, TRX, Aqua Exercise and Tabata training.  Lisa loves her work and tries to practice what she preaches, even though its extra hard during football season!

​Is a 
Trainer/ Dietitian/ Instructor, has a Masters Degree in Nutrition Science, is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and group exercise instructor. She’s been in the fitness industry since the 80’s with various certifications including Balanced Habits Food Coach and Level 1 Nutrition Coach in Precision Nutrition.
Her current interests are working with young athletes on programming and diet to maximize their performance. She has worked with local soccer, lacrosse, track, cross country skiing, wrestling and hockey teams, and has even written a Fitness and Nutrition book, The “3 Apple-a-Day” Plan: Your Foundation for Permanent Fat Loss.

ays..."I love helping people!" Helping people with mobility, balance, flexibility, and seeing the beauty in their life, is my passion!  I chose to become a personal trainer because of my personal spine, knee, and hip injuries, it also helps me deal with stress. My desire to stay mobile and healthy for life is my fuel to help others achieve their goals. I am a mother, foster mom, wife, child of God, and I strive to lead with love in all that I do.  I love any outdoor activities, except swimming, and I don’t cook.  I absolutely love my job helping others improve their quality of life.

​MEGAN JUSTICE
Megan is available to offer you Functional Strength Training, Bridge Training from Physical Therapy, Prenatal/Postnatal training, Sport-Specific Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition consultation.
Growing up playing sports, lifting weights, and hiking in the Sierras, she developed an appreciation for movement and strength. She graduated from Bastyr University with a Bachelors in Integrated Human Biology, a rigorous program designed to create awareness of the integrated structure of the human body and its functions. After graduation, Megan began working as a kinesiologist where she rehabilitated CrossFit athletes, student athletes, and common injuries in the members of the Issaquah-Sammamish community. She thrives on helping and teaching others about their bodies, knowing that the HOW and WHY is just as important as the WHAT. While working as a kinesiologist, Megan graduated with her Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine in 2021. During this program, she has taken a special interest in nutrition for sport and exercise as well as menstrual health, lending to studying reproductive health and optimizing wellness. Since graduating, she has: owned her own business as a personal trainer, functional medicine nutritionist, and strength and conditioning coach for various athletes; worked at a high-level health and wellness center in the Silicon Valley as a personal trainer and health coach; and continued to pursue learning on her own in various subjects that interest her, such as health optimization, longevity, hormone health, and psychology.
​When Megan isn’t studying or training or teaching, she can be found in the mountains, at the beach, or exploring the vast culture of the Pacific Northwest with her partner and two dogs, Bubba and Moose.

TRISTA BAIS 
Joined the WRAC team in January of 2023. You'll see her smiling face at the front desk or working hard in the weight room. She is Certified through ISSA and is also a 2 time Pro card competitor with PLA. 
She knew she wanted to have a career where she could make a difference in someone's life and being a trainer allows her that feeling. Trista says, "to use what I'm good at and help my clients become the best version of themselves is the best feeling in the world." 
In her free time she enjoys time spent with her grandma, hiking, and cats: Calypso and Bug.

​     As a renowned public speaker and functional-training expert, Ruben is one of Asia’s leading authorities on sports performance and enhancement, individual and team motivation, and nutrition management. While leveraging a continuous investment in, and search for, new and advanced techniques and knowledge, Ruben also serves as the Head Strength & Conditioning coach for Asia’s top UFC & Combat athletes: Li Jiangliang, Yan Xiaonan, Wang KuHan, Yilixiati and UFC Strawweight World Champion Zhang Weili, Being the first fitness professional to ever conquer the 7 Summits, Ruben regularly shares his insights as an industry consultant for organizations such as Nike, The Northface, Westin Hotel, and Csoft Corp.

Nutritional Counseling Professional, Registered Dietitian, Tammi Flynn, is ready to help you master one of the most important pre-requisites for good health, that of proper nutrition. Whether you hope to lose weight, compete in sports or just improve your diet, eating habits can mean the difference between failure and success.  Tammi will guide you toward your goals by developing a plan that promotes healthy eating while taking into account your unique health status, activity level and lifestyle. Tammi can review your usual diet, do an extensive 3-day analysis, then recommend improvements and help you with goal-setting.
