sam rechtin, racquet sports director/Head pro
Born and raised in Wenatchee, Sam started playing at the WRAC as soon as he could run around with a racquet. After helping WHS win back-to-back state titles in his last two years of high school, he went across the mountains to receive his bachelors in Kinesiology from Western Washington University.
After graduating, he started teaching at the Pine Lake Club in Sammamish where he not only built and oversaw the development of a strong junior program, but also worked with 2.5-4.5 USTA teams while teaching private lessons to both juniors and adults of all skill levels.
After 8 years of instructing, he decided to go back to school, while continuing to teach, so that he could increase his understanding of how to best work with athletes. In February of 2021, he earned his master's in Sport Psychology.
When he is not on the court, you can typically find Sam doing something outdoors, whether it be on the water, exploring the trails with his dogs, or enjoying some live music. After being on the other side of the mountains since 2006, he is excited to return home and bring his enthusiasm and expertise to the WRAC community. Contact Sam at [email protected]
