EVY GILLIN, GENERAL MANAGER

​As an Oregon Duck graduate in Recreation Management and minor in Business, she returned to the valley in 1980 as Physical Director at the YMCA and then joined ​Wenatchee Racquet & Athletic Club as​ the Club Manager in 1984. Though​out the years,​ the club has changed many times, and in many ways, as it has grown​.  Evy continues to love working with people at the club and being able to see them be active​, having fun​ and staying healthy​.

On a personal note, she enjo​​y​s​ spending time with her husband, Tony, being outdoors, hiking and traveling.  Her competitive side comes from a life of ski racing!

Tammy rejoined the WRAC Team after a long hiatus, just playing racquetball and having fun.  But she is back to work now in Accounting and also as our Racquetball Coordinator.  There is not a day that goes by that you won't find her with a smile on her face and a can do attitude to match. Connie graduated from Waterville HS and went off to college at Western Washington University where she got a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications while working as a lifeguard and teaching water aerobics. After graduating, Connie worked in print shops and freelancing as a Graphic Designer while getting further involved with the fitness industry.
​At one point Connie, and her high-school sweetheart husband, Nathan, owned a neighborhood health club in Aloha, Oregon. After over 25 years, the Townsends were able to finally move back to the Wenatchee Valley. Connie's been with the WRAC since 2008 as an ACE-certified fitness instructor and personal trainer, and acts as Administrative Assistant helping to create marketing materials for the WRAC

CHARL GROBLER, DIRECTOR OF TENNIS/PRO

Charl graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Charl has been instructing tennis for over 30 years. Charl is USPTA Pro certified and was named the top Senior player in the Pacific Northwest. His students include all player levels and ages in his private and group lesson programs.

​Charl loves being able to help others improve their games as well as sharing the positive qualities that tennis brings to everyone. He appreciates the fact that tennis teaches one to focus better and naturally brings one to seek a healthy perspective in life. He also enjoys the mentoring and believes that tennis offers the best opportunity to strengthen friendships, to experience strong emotional feelings and how to harness them in a productive way. He holds a strong belief that Improving one’s tennis game is a journey that makes one a better person.  During his free time, Charl enjoys riding motorcycles, golfing, and surfing.

​Clint's passion and talent for teaching and coaching is infectious! As a competitive player, he was a State Doubles Champion in 2009 & 2010; achieved National Ranking of # 9 in Juniors and was a EWU Collegiate Player.

His teaching credentials include that of being an Assistant Pro at the WRAC for many years during which he gained experience with all levels and ages of players. He has the knowledge and patience to help players gain the skills and to meet the goals they desire.

He has been the WRAC Stringer 10+ yrs, has worked as a Special Needs Paraprofessional with Wenatchee School District and has an “official recorded slide on clay of...12". 

​Off court passions include downhill skiing, hiking, outdoor sports and camping. He loves to collect and and is know to wear self proclaimed “nerdy” apparel. He also has a passion and extensive experience in sports medicine and exercise science. Contact Clint:  clint@wrac.org

LISA SMITH, wellness director

KEITH BAIER, Head TRainer

Lisa joined the WRAC team as a new member to the community and state of WA In 2015.  Lisa, her husband Greg, and daughter Madelyn, moved from Sacramento for Greg’s new job at the PUD.  She has added to the family since with son, Nate.  She has a bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State so she is familiar with the beautiful Pacific Northwest. 

​Lisa spent 10 years working as an Exercise Physiologist and Fitness Asst. Manager at an active adult community.  Lisa is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and Advanced Health and Fitness specialist as well as an AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor.  Her specialties include: Post-rehab, Balance and Strength programming, Older Adult Mobility and Conditioning, TRX, Aqua Exercise and Tabata training.  Lisa loves her work and tries to practice what she preaches, even though its extra hard during football season! Keith received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science from the University of Idaho, and also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with The National Strength and Conditioning Association.
​

Most recently a co-owner of a club in Seattle, Keith trained all levels of clientele, as well as developed sports-specific programs for athletes...while running a 6,000 sq. ft. facility! Keith was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Seattle University's swim team and previously acted as Fitness Director for another Seattle club. Email: keith@wrac.org

zach clanton, MEMBERSHIP assistant

Zach joined the WRAC team in the Summer of 2019.   He came to Wenatchee to be a baseball coach at Wenatchee Valley College where he still serves today as Head Baseball Coach. While in Wenatchee he met his wife Natasha, who was born and raised in Wenatchee and has been a WRAC member since her youth, so it only made sense that he would work at the WRAC.  Zach has a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and played four years of baseball at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston Idaho.

Originally from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Zach loves the Pacific Northwest and being outdoors. Before joining the WRAC team he spent time serving as Wenatchee Valley College's Intramurals Coordinator and also as a Manager in their Student Recreation Center.  Contact Zach at
