RED CROSS LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION & RECERTIFICATION TRAINING COURSE
Sponsored by: Wenatchee Racquet & Athletic Club
This training provides entry level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
Class Requirements:

• Minimum age of 15
• Ability to swim 300 yards continuously.
• Ability to tread water for 2 minutes only using the legs.
• Ability to complete this task within 1 minute, 40 seconds:
• Starting in the water, swim 20 yards; surface dive to depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10 pound object; return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point; exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

Course Completion Requirements:  

• You must attend the entire course, participate in all skill sessions, activities and scenarios, demonstrate competency in all required skills and scenarios, and pass the final written exams with a minimum grade of 80 percent.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years.
Certification Course Fee:  $180 Memb | $200 N-M
Recertification Course fee:  $120 Memb | $150 N-M
Students must provide their own Lifeguard Training manual.  These will be available for purchase at the WRAC for $32 (inc. wsst)
