TENNIS INSTRUCTION...creatE A LIFETIME OF FUN!
CHARL'S TENNIS TIP OF THE MONTH:
To react quicker, one needs to stay calm with a light grip. Standing only slightly shorter is better than too short, with your feet wider than your shoulders. Rocking side to side keeps your body moving so it is easier to take off. Push off your legs, don't lean towards the ball.
Moving forward is okay but take a short hop when your opponent hits the ball so that your movement is neutral.

JUNIOR TENNIS INSTRUCTION...
Our professional teaching staff is directed by USPTA certified Head Pro, Charl Grobler, who has an extensive background in teaching tennis and playing performance. Tennis lessons are taught year round by certified instructors using time proven progressions to produce the best results. Our approach is to teach students with enthusiasm and to be positive role models.
We offer fun, instructional games that teach eye-hand coordination. These activities teach children how to score, serve, receive and play tennis on smaller courts with shorter racquets.
We focus on physical fitness, technique, ball control and court positioning. Students are learning to prepare for high school match play. Our top players can advance into the Academy program with the approval of our Tennis Director.
Students have already competed, and are ready to develop, their skills. We offer faster games that demand quicker reflexes, more stamina and power. The drills are more challenging and competitive. We aim to produce the top players who understand what self discipline is and who have a willingness to serve others.

I really like the friendly welcome from whoever is at the front desk when I walk in. I like the WRAC facility itself - the courts, gym, etc. It's a good arrangement of equipment and activities kept clean and tidy. - Suzanne Helgerson
